Shivani Khurana is a co-founder and managing partner of Link Growth and has over 20 years of experience in private equity, investment management and investment banking. Most recently, Ms. Khurana was a managing director at MVC Capital (NYSE: MVC), which she joined in 2004, and helped build MVC and affiliated buyout funds into a $1.5 billion asset manager, served on the Board of Directors, and managed several portfolio companies. She was also co-head of specialty chemicals and food ingredients investment verticals of Public Pension Capital, an affiliate of MVC Capital. Before joining MVC, Ms. Khurana worked at Cadigan Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm; in the restructuring group of Wachovia Securities where she specialized in distressed debt investing and turnaround financing; and the investment banking group of Merrill Lynch. Her prior experience includes managing a diversified U.S. and European equities portfolio at Al-Ahlia Investment Company. Ms. Khurana received a Bachelor of Commerce with accounting honors from Panjab University, India; an MBA in Finance from University of Sheffield, UK; and an M.S. in Finance from University of Rochester, New York.
Puneet Sanan is a co-founder and managing partner of Link Growth and has over 22 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance and investment banking with expertise in originating, developing, analyzing, structuring, financing and negotiating leveraged and management buyouts, recapitalizations and growth capital financing for lower-middle market companies. Most recently, Mr. Sanan was a managing director at MVC Capital (NYSE: MVC), which he joined in 2004 and helped build MVC and affiliated buyout funds into a $1.5 billion asset manager. He was also co-head of specialty chemicals and food ingredients investment verticals of Public Pension Capital, an affiliate of MVC Capital. Prior to joining MVC, he was an investment banker at UBS and PaineWebber, prior to which he worked as a chemical engineer in the chemical industry. Mr. Sanan has served on the corporate board of several U.S. and European companies and has had significant investment success growing companies and turning around underperforming ones. Mr. Sanan received a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from Panjab University, India; and an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin; and has passed the Series 7 and 63 NASD qualifying examinations.
Elizabeth Varley Camp is a principal of Link Growth and has over 30 years of private equity experience, managing multi-billion dollar investment funds and investing in over 20 control transactions. She is a founder of Alpha Investment Holdings, a merchant banking firm which arranges private transactions on behalf of family owners. She has worked at firms including Goldman Sachs where she was a Managing Director for seven years, helping build the asset management division’s private equity investment business there to over $15 billion in assets under management; and Gibbons Goodwin, van Amerongen, one of the pioneering private equity investment firms, where she was a partner for 11 years. Ms. Camp started her career at Morgan Stanley, in the Mergers and Acquisitions department. She has served on seven corporate boards and 22 private equity advisory boards. She is currently a Trustee of Prospect Schools in New York which oversees a $40 million network of charter schools. Ms. Camp received a B.A. cum laude from Williams College, from which she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
Gerald Blount is a vice president of Link Growth and has over 12 years of accounting experience with mid-sized public and private companies in various business sectors. He also serves as the Financial Controller of Summit Custom Spray Drying. Mr. Blount’s strength is organizing, improving, and establishing internal guidelines in order to publish financial reports and other KPI metrics. Previously, Mr. Blount worked for Johanna Foods, a food and beverage manufacturer, serving as the finance manager. There he supervised the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing departments while also being on the implementation team for a new accounting software and new warehouse software. Mr. Blount received a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from Binghamton University, New York and an MBA in Accounting from Monmouth University, New Jersey.
Charles (Chuck) Grant is a seasoned industrial services executive and has worked as an operating partner for private equity funds. He has an extensive background in several industries growing companies, start-ups and restructuring situations. Mr. Grant has global experience in North America, China, Asia and Europe. He was the President and CEO of SP Industries from 2002-2013, which he built organically and through acquisitions, and sold to a financial buyer. Prior to that he held senior level management and accounting roles at SPX, Becton Dickinson and PricewaterhouseCoopers for 25 years. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Tenex Health, Old Nassau, Community Council, Halifax Hospital Foundation, the Civic League of Volusia County and Oceanside Country Club. Mr. Grant has a B.S. degree in accounting and finance from Northeastern University and an MBA in finance from Columbia University.
Marty Silver is a food industry veteran with more than 40 years of industry experience. He served as CEO of Hebrew National division of ConAgra Foods from 2000-2005; prior to which, he spent over 30 years with Hebrew National taking it from a privately-owned regional company to a publicly owned National brand -- establishing it as one of the Top 3 hot dog brands in the United States. Over his 40-year career as a leader in the food industry, he has negotiated supply agreements, labor agreements and established processing procedures and streamlined product flow from food-source to the shelf. He has helped develop breakthrough marketing programs.
Israel Rodriguez is a seasoned process engineer and manager in the Food, Flavors, Botanicals and Nutraceuticals global industry for over 30 years. He also serves as the General Manager of Summit Specialty Ingredients, which he joined in 2011, and has helped the company’s growth and sales. Before joining Summit, Mr. Rodriguez worked at Naturex where he assisted Naturex in building unique branded products as well as increasing sales from $500mm in 2003 to over $900mm in 2007. Prior to that, he helped Frutarom grow its business from $28mm sales in 1998 to $96mm in 2002. Mr. Rodriguez also worked for a US corporation Sensient Technologies formally known as Universal Flavors where he began his career in 1992 and helped the growth of the company through strategic process developments. Mr. Rodriguez is an undergraduate with a B.S. from the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey.
